JDROMUNINUKU BEACH
The subject site has a beautiful white long sandy beach with lushious vegetation located in the middle of Naweni Village and Dromuninuku Village. The land is ideal for an upmarket (boutique) resort with approximately 10 acres of land available for leasing. There is also potential to acquire a foreshore lease for the construction of a mariner due to its direct location of the dromoninuku passage. Some of the added attractions to the site will be the red prawn lake located to the north of the site. The site is also adjacent to the world renowned surrounding barrier reefs rated as the best diving spots in Fiji with its deep blue lagoons and beautiful array of coral formations and its colourful marine life.
jLOCATION
The adventure begins from Nadi International Airport as you take a connecting flight to Savusavu Airstrip. The airplane ride is an experience as you take a glimpse of the islands and the ocean on your way to Savusavu Airstrip. Once at Savusavu Airstrip, getting a van is not a problem as the ride will take approxiametly twenty five minutes on a partly tarsealed and gravel road to Dromoninuku Village where the site is situated. The site can also be accessible from Taveuni Airstrip where you can hire a boat to take you across to the site which will take approxiametly 45 minutes to an hour. Access to the site can also be by seaplane or helicopter.
APROPOSED TERMS AND CONDITIONS (MINIMUM FIGURES)
  • Area - 10 acres (subject to survey);
  • Term - 50 to 99 years;
  • Premium - minimum of $10,000 .00 (FJD) per acre (payable at the commencement of lease);
  • Minimum 10% non-liquidable shares to be given free to the landowning unit;
  • Education fund - minimum of $10,000.00(FJD) to be paid annually to the Mataqali subject to review after every five years;.
  • Village project - Lessee to assist in improving the village water and electricity supply. The lessee is also to assist in financing the construction of a village hall;
  • Stamp Duty - Will be payable in accordance with the Stamp Duty Act;
  • Crop Compensation - Will be payable after the crop count is conducted and in accordance with the Ministry of Agriculture rates.
