Natarawau Beach is on Galoa Island in Kadavu which is still in its unspoilt and virgin state giving it a truly laid back relaxing atmosphere. The subject site is generally flat covered thickly with coconut trees, lushy hinterland with native fruit trees such as mangoes, dawa and breadfruit. Galoa Island is located on the opposite side of Vunisea and on the Eastern side of Kadavu. From Vunisea Airstrip, it is a 2 minute car ride to Nailuvea (Point, in Vunisea for boarding a boat). The boat ride from Vunisea to Galoa Island is fifteen to twenty (15 - 20) minutes..
APROPOSED TERMS AND CONDITIONS (MINIMUM FIGURES)
  • Area - 10 acres (subject to survey);
  • Term - 50 to 99 years;
  • Premium - minimum of $10,000 .00 (FJD) per acre (payable at the commencement of lease);
  • Minimum 25% non-liquidable shares to be given free to the landowning unit;
  • Education fund - minimum of $10,000.00(FJD) to be paid annually to the Mataqali subject to review after every five years;
  • Village project - The lessee to assist in improving the village water and electricity supply and to financially assist in the construction of , village hall and 2 x 3 bedroom concrete houses for the landowning unit. The lessee to also provide a long fibre boat with a sixty horse power motor engine;
  • Stamp Duty - Will be payable in accordance with the Stamp Duty Act;
  • Crop Compensation - Will be payable after the crop count is conducted and in accordance with the Ministry of Agriculture rates.
