| The site is generally flat to gentle sloping covered with shrubs, coconut trees, pine and other lushious flora and fauna. Within the proposed area lies an old village site used during the cannibal era when tribal rivalry was rife. This village is situated close to the highest point on the island whic h sits approxiametly 200 meters above the highwater mark, overlooking a magnificent view of Buca Bay, Natewa Bay Peninsula, Kioa Island and Rabi Island as well as Taveuni. The site is conveniently close to the Kubulau coral reefs together with the Taveuni great wall reef which is rated as one of the best diving spots in Fiji with its deep blue lagoons and beautiful array of coral formations and its colourful marine life. This is a divers paradise and the beauty of it all, is that, it is virtually untouched and relatively undiscovered. The view from the site is breath taking particularly at sunrise. Ironically the sunrise that one sees from this point is yesterday's sunrise as it rises beyond the 180 degree Meridian line. The subject site is suitable for villas, 4- 5 star resort and is ideal for fishing, snorkelling, diving and other water related activities. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
