The Native Land Trust Board announces the following Senior Management appointment effective from 1st July 2002:

  • Mr. Meli Benuci Vuadreu – Regional Director (Central/Eastern).
    Meli (44) is a former employee of the NLTB who has been in the private sector for the last 7 years. He has a Bachelor’s Degree in Land Management and is a Registered Valuer.
  • Mr. Eparama Ravaga - Regional Director (Northern).
    Eparama (43) has been promoted from his current position as Client Services Manager. He has a Bachelor’s Degree in Land Management and has attended a Valuation and Land Management course at Lincoln University, New Zealand.
  • Mr. Joreti Dakuwaqa - Regional Director (South West).
    Joreti (35) has been promoted from his current position as Client Services Manager. He has a Bachelor’s Degree in Arts and is a Registered Valuer.
  • Mr. Mojito Mua – Director Research & Development.
    Mua (47) currently serves as the Regional Director (Central/Eastern). He has a Bachelor’s Degree in Science and Technology.
  • Mr. Emosi Toga – Board Secretary.
    Emosi (44) currently serves as the Regional Director (Northern). He has a Bachelor’s Degree in Applied Science (Valuation) from the South Australian Institute of Technology.
  • Mr. Tevita Bukarau – Acting Director Legal Services.
    Bukarau (42) currently serves as the Senior Legal Officer. He has law degree from Bond University.

In a statement today, the NLTB’s General Manager, Mr. Kalivati Bakani said that the appointments were made after an exhaustive selection process involving members of the Board’s Standing Committee. "Never before in its history has NLTB been faced with the many challenges that confront it now. With this new team in place I have no doubts that they have the experience, commitment and expertise to take the organisation forward," Mr. Bakani added. The appointments are for a 3-year period.
